Salvador & Cory

On a breezy spring day, I met up with Salvador and Cory for an engagement session in some of New Mexico’s prettiest natural landscapes. I found it cute that they were a bit nervous for the session saying that they didn’t know what to do since they haven’t been photographed professionally before. It’s hard to look awkward with natural smiles and when your favorite person is flirting with you.

I’m so excited to photograph these cuties for their wedding this summer in Santa Fe. 🙂

Wide Open New Mexico – An engagement

On an afternoon earlier this month, Jack, Kelli, two cute dachshund pups, and I loaded into a truck and headed out to the middle of nowhere New Mexico. Jack and Kelli are so laid back and fun to hang out with. In fact, they came prepared to make sure we had a chill time by bringing along a cooler full of beer. Their engagement session is definitely one I will remember. Not only because of the great company but also because I pretty much drove us around half lost through dirt roads with crazy dogs chasing & barking after us and a rogue storm creeping over the horizon. But we rolled with it and had a great time.

Katlin & Erica’s Las Cruces Engagment

After shooting for a little while with Katlin and Erica for their engagement session, I could see that their love for each other and excitement was just perfect. A perfect match. The way that they steal little glances from each other and have a giddy excitement from being next to each other. I am also so glad that they chose me to photograph their wedding this coming November. I find more and more that I am able to connect with couples who share in a desire for creative and original images that also capture moments rather than something fake or contrived. It’s in those connections that I am able to go above and beyond and deliver something truly meaningful and beautiful for my clients.

Congratulations to Katlin and Erica!

Proposal at the Peak

In late March, I had the absolute honor and joy of being the creeper with the camera to capture a proposal high atop Sandia Peak. I got a call from Tyler a few months prior telling me of his plan to bring his soon-to-be fiancee with him for a weekend trip to Albuquerque. He had initially wanted to schedule an engagement session surrounded by New Mexico’s stunning landscapes. However, after he told me his plan to propose….it was just meant to be that this had to be photographed as well. 🙂 I started early one frigid Sunday morning to ride the Tram with Tyler and Alexia to the top of the crest. I knew that I had to be careful as to not attract the attention of Alexia who had no idea I was there to photograph these two during such a special moment. We rode the tram and I followed them off of the tram car and over in front of High Finance Restaurant. Tyler immediately walked with Alexia over to the lookout point and with his best stealth moves did a quick check to make sure that I was somewhere near to capture what might happen. I did my best to photograph the scenery at the crest – although let’s be honest, who uses a 70-200mm lens to photograph the view of the city from Sandia Peak at 9am?

Rather than telling you all about this special day with Tyler and Alexia, I will go ahead and post the images. Thank you for allowing me to photography such an awesome moment in your lives!

I have to give it to Tyler and Alexia because it was absolutely windy and so so cold on this day but you can hardly tell from their photos.
