I had been talking to Steve for a while before our shoot was planned. Steve and Felicia had a distinctive vision for their session to incorporate some of the classic style of the Mad Men era. Steve did most of the leg-work for the shoot due to his familiarity with the architecture around the UNM campus. I loved all of the locations that Steve found and the attention to details in the surroundings that many people would miss. Steve & Felicia brought out their cute-as-a-button puppies for some of the photos and I am so happy with how everything turned out! We finished the session at The Pit since going to Lobo basketball games is a favorite pastime for the couple. In fact, Steve live tweets during games. If you are a fan of Lobo Basketball, be sure to follow the action at HowlinLobo.
I can’t begin to describe what a special and awesome opportunity it was to be able to photography baby Heath on his first day in the world. Nothing was posed, nothing was contrived, I was there to photograph a little family as they welcomed their 4th member and spent a few quiet moments in the maternity suite getting to know this new little person.
After shooting for a little while with Katlin and Erica for their engagement session, I could see that their love for each other and excitement was just perfect. A perfect match. The way that they steal little glances from each other and have a giddy excitement from being next to each other. I am also so glad that they chose me to photograph their wedding this coming November. I find more and more that I am able to connect with couples who share in a desire for creative and original images that also capture moments rather than something fake or contrived. It’s in those connections that I am able to go above and beyond and deliver something truly meaningful and beautiful for my clients.
Congratulations to Katlin and Erica!
